According to traders, the price of rice has increased continuously in recent years, not only fresh rice in the field but dry rice in the warehouse of the winter-spring crop of 2019-2020, as the Jasmine 85 rice sold has a profit of 1,000 VND / kg or more. at the time of purchase… The price of paddy is generally considered to be a record high for many years. According to the local people, the weather is good, so it is less cared for, the rice is less pests and diseases, the investment cost is low, the interest is from 1 to over 2 million VND / worker (1,000m2).

The weather is favorable, the rice price is good, so after the summer-autumn crop has been harvested, many localities in the Mekong Delta have deployed the Autumn-Winter crop exceeding the original planned area, many places have already harvested. In An Giang, with the Summer-Autumn rice yield of over 5.5 tons / ha, 80-150kg / ha higher than last year's Summer-Autumn crop, the agricultural sector recommends that farmers focus on the Fall-Winter rice variety in areas with safe dykes, not affected when floods come back.

And in Hau Giang, according to the local plan, it will sow 38,500 ha of Thu Dong rice, the total output of nearly 213,000 tons.
